Below are some important terms:
360 - a full rotation at the desired operational flight to check for obstacles

Altitude - the height above ground level (often referred to using feet)

Distance - the distance from the pilot to their drone along the ground (often referred to in metres)

Eyes down - the pilot focussing on the screen and not on their drone

Eyes on - the pilot can see their drone

Geofence - a built-in system that prevents flight in certain restricted areas

Gimbal - a specialised mount for the camera

Landing - a drone is coming in to land

Observer/Spotter - a competent person supporting the drone pilot with operations

Pitch - movement of a drone up and down on a vertical axis

Roll - movement of a drone forwards, backwards, left or right

Spinning up - the pilot is about to start their drone

Taking off - the drone is about to take off
